Greenwich, July 14-15
This weekend we went to Mat Hay's house in Greenwich (Con.). Here are some pictures from that trip. Some of the pictures are taken just to show how american things look like, road signs, mail boxes, fire trucks and police cars.
Mat's house was on Round Hill Road, and I think that name was given because the road goes around the whole hill. Some pictures of Mat's house which he shared with some friends. Picture 3 is of Mat and Sheena outside the hose and the last picture is Sheena showing the greenhouse, which apparently hasn't been used for a long time.
Right next to the house was a fire station, so we didn't have to worry about any fires. The Round Hill Volunteer Fire Company. Take a closer look on the nice fire truck!
outside the fire company stood a police car. So I took the camera out and asked the police man if I could take a picture of his car. Then he asked me if I planned on reporting him for sitting still in his car, but I promised not to do that so I could take a picture.
Greenwich is a very rich area and we saw a lot of expensive houses and impressing gardens.
Mat's house was a bit outside the town of Greenwich, and when we went in to the town we saw that the town was also a very wealthy one. All the buildings looked very nice, the YMCA building for example, looked like a small castle.
We also saw a lot of beautiful cars just standing there. I've never seen som many beautiful cars at the same place and time before so I was really thrilled.
Even here I got a chance to see some fire engines, and also police cars. They look different where ever you go in the U.S, kind a charming.
And finally some road signs, stop lights and telephone booths. Don't walk means: Don't walk!
The last picture I took of Greenwich is the gate to Mel Gibsons house. Too bad we couldn't see more of the house...
